About the Role:
We have a full time, permanent opportunity for someone who is passionate about the hospitality industry to join the Villa Maria family. Reporting to the Cafe Manager, you will provide operational support and be the go-to person in the team. Some of your duties include staff management and training, administration and stock control, and ensuring customer service in our café is always delivered to a high standard.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is outgoing, with an effervescent personality who can easily make guests feel welcomed and at ease, while at the same time, be able to juggle a number of competing demands that is expected of a busy cafe. Your standards are extremely high and you know how to effectively manage the business to get desired results.
This is a busy and varied role, and will suit a go-getter who thrives under pressure, has impeccable time management and organisational skills, but above all else, is focused on service excellence. You will also need to have:
- Minimum of 1 year people leader experience in a hospitality environment
- Excellent wine knowledge
- Have an LCQ certificate (a Manager’s Certificate would be ideal)
- Be able to work weekends and flexible hours
